Lawnscaping Challenge #116

Happy Monday!!!  It's almost that time to dress up in your favorite costume, just like this youngster Yeti!  lol  Even he is all ready to trick or treat.   They new Lawnscaping Challenge #116 is Too Cute to Spook and I hope you play along!

Yeti Boo | Lawn Fawn Stamps | Created by Danielle Pandeline

On to the card!  I used my Distress Spray Stains to create a sunset background.  I know when I was little kid I couldn't wait till dark.  I stamped the yeti on some metallic white paper and colored him with alcohol based markers.  To get the glow effect on the pumpkin and the glow stick I just used a yellow highlighter.

Supplies Used:
Lawn Fawn Stamps
-Yeti.Set.Go
-Spooktacular
Lawn Fawn Dies
-Quinn's ABC's

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you play along in the current Lawnscaping Challenge with me!

Lawnscaping Challenge #115

Hi there!!! I have some exciting news to share!!!  I am a Guest Designer this month for Lawnscaping Challenge!!!  WOOT WOOT!!!  If you are a lover of the ever so cute Lawn Fawn stamps, this is a challenge dedicated to them!

This challenge is all about SENTIMENTS!  I combined the "Scripty Hello" Die Cut sentiment with a stamped sentiment  from "Sunny Skies" for my card.  I die cut the "Scripty Hello" several times and glued them together to make it POP off the card.

Then, I took the You are "My Sunshine sentiment" from "Sunny Skies" stamp set. and just inked up the word sunshine.  Thus, to form "Hello Sunshine". To finish off the card I stamped at tiny heart and splattered some spray mists for a fun background.  Then, toped it off with some Sequins.

I hope you enjoyed my card and play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge!

I was super excited to see that the Lawnscaping Challenge is having a FIT DT call!!!!  What is FIT???  Well it is Lawnscaping's Facebook Inspiration Team!

I double stamped the sentiment in Black and Grey ink for a shadow look!   I kept this a one layer card with a touch of enamel dots and bakers twine.  Sometimes simple is best.

Happy Monday!!!  Today i am here with a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge!  I feel like it has been forever since I played along.  I really wanted to get all inky with the new release so I decided to get a card done!

There are faint snowflakes in the background, but they didn't photograph well.  ;-\ sigh technology.

I'm gonna make this quick since I am injured at the moment and it's hard to type with both hands.  I'm ok though. Nobodys got time for injuries to interfere with scrappy therapy.

Neon plus Hippos equals #awesome

Hell my crafty chicas!!!  I got my Lawn Fawn order in and I couldn't wait to get super crafty!!!!  I just had to use that cute little hippo! So I colored him up with some fluorescent copic markers.  Nothing special just scribbled the marker down and fussy cut them out.  When I started to stack my hippos they began to lean....so I kept it that way cause it's hilarious! I mean if that happened in real life it would probably do the same thing!  And what is better than neon hippos??? NOTHING! lol

So I entered this card into the Lawnscaping Challenge and the Seize the Birthday Challenge a double whammy!  I blinged it up with some holographic glitter paper and I did glitter the mustache on the one hippo, but it is hard to see in the photo. The inside of the card reads "Happy Birthday" because what else could make a birthday better than hippos!

Lawnscaping Challenge #76

Hello my crafty ladies!!!  Today, I bring you a shaped card using some Lawn Fawn stamps that I am ashamed to say haven't used in a while for the Lawnscaping Challenge.   With DT commitments I haven't been using my stash of crafty goodness.

I found out my vet had to put his dog Glacier down recently.  And me being an HUGE animal lover had to make him a sympathy card.

I kept it really simple and focused on the puppy.  To really make a statement!  I am happy to say he loved it!  It was hard to keep the tears back as it was hard to even talk about it.  I hope this inspires you!  Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge #69 - Sentiment

Today, I played along with the Lawnscaping Challenge!  I really needed to make a Thank You card for a friend of my dad's in Pittsburgh.  He goes to all the hockey games and gives all the Pittsburgh Penguins Memorabilia to my dad to give to me. (since I have to be the BIGGEST Penguins fan in Florida)  I am very thankful for his generosity.  Thus, why this card had a penguin on it saying Greetings from Florida.  It all makes sense now doesn't it!

Lawnscaping Challenge #53 - Texture

Well, Lawnscaping Challenge, you challenged me to make my card with texture and I gave it you! With a bang! lol So, I hadn't gotten my new Lawn Fawn stamps inky yet! I know, what am I thinking. I took out my new stamps and starred at them for a while. I knew I wanted to make that zebra pink and white. Since the card would be from a Woman to a Man.  Then "BANG" it came to me.....i'm going to make grass from Lawn Trimmings. I sprayed the Trimmings with Mr. Huey's to make it green.

Lawnscaping Challenge #44

Try a new technique is challenge #44 over at Lawnscaping. This challenge was a doosey! I really stepped out of my box for this one. First, off I made a layout, I haven't done that in a while. :-) I really wanted to use my first Studio Calico kit, which is the October kit with an add on. So, I tried to use mostly my kit with Lawn Fawn stamps. I ended up using washi tape that wasn't in the kit and thickers. My first technique was heat embossing directly on my background paper. Let me tell you, it was sooo scary. I've heat embossed before, but on another sheet of paper that if I mess up its no big deal. This time, I didn't have a back up plan. Luckily, it came out fine, only cause I was FaceTiming/Skype with my BF Sam and she reminded me to use my embossing buddy. Which I always forget to use before I heat emboss. An embossing buddy, dryer sheet or the EK Success powder tool keeps stray embossing powder from sticking where it shouldn't. Giving you a clean image. My second technique is dry embossing a cut out. I stamped and cut some Lawn Fawn clouds then dry embossed them in my Cuttlebug. Normally, I emboss entire backgrounds, never pieces. My third technique, is a layered layout, not my normal style. I usually mat my photos and have a boarder, just a simple style. I hope you enjoy my layout I was definitely in uncharted waters!

Lawnscaping Challenge #42 - Getting Texty

So, at the last minute I had an idea for the Lawnscaping, Getting Texty challenge. I also was experimenting with my Gelatos. Yes, I finally caved in and got some a few weeks ago with 50% off coupons. I hear embossed the speech bubbles with clear embossing powder and then rubbed my Gelatos all over the front. Then blended them with a baby wipe. They react to water, and a damp baby wipe worked well and kept me pretty clean! I used Versafine black ink for the words. I did heat set it to make sure it would not smear. I then recycled some twine that came in a order I placed and bam! I'm done!
