Lawn Fawnatics - Happy Birthday Challenge #1

I am so excited to be playing along with the very first Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!!!!  Happy Birthday 7th Birthday to Lawn Fawn.  I've been a Fawnatic since the start.  I created this cute frenchie bulldog card from the Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and dies.  My MIL just got a new puppy a frenchie, so I had to create a matching birthday card for her.

To create this card I blended some broken china Distress Ink for the background and used a grass sticker from Recollections.  I need to get  the Lawn Fawn Grass die for my collection!  I colored up my dogie and added the sentiment. To top it off I added a couple of sequins from my stash.

Newtons Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #38

Happy Friday!!!  It's time for another Inky Paws Challenge by Newtons Nook Designs.  I just love the color combo for this challenge. That pop of teal with traditional holiday colors is amazing.

Sweater Weather Newton | Newtons Nook Designs | Created by Danielle Pandeline

For this card I paper pieced Newton from the Sweater Weather set.  I haven't done that in a long time, I decided to bring back on old technique. I kept Newton white and added some light grey shadows to him.  I also dug out another oldie...remember Stickles? Yep, I dug mine out to add a glittery snow hill to my scene.  Sometimes it's nice to use old stuff and remember why you bought it in the first place.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you play along in the Inky Paws Challenge.

Newtons Nook Designs - Inky Paws Challenge #37

It's time for another Inky Paws Challenge from Newtons Nook Designs!  Today, we are inspired by Cozy Plaids.  While I wish I could get into some WARM snuggly plaid Pajamas. I am sadly still rocking tank tops, flip flops and battling hurricanes. SIGH!  Yup, I live in Florida where the sun is shining and the air conditions always on.

Grin and Bear It | Newtons Nook Designs | Card Created by Danielle Pandeline

For this card I decided to showcase Winston with some warm festive fall plaid.  Found in the Target $ spot. Granted the paper pad cost $$$, I thought it was cute and fits the challenge.  I kept it simple with some sharp angles and kept the focus on Winston.

Also, be sure to join the NND Create and Share Facebook group for more inspiration.

Newtons Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #33 - Ombre

It's that time again for another Inky Paws Challenge from Newtons Nook Designs!  This time it's an Ombre challenge. Since, Shark Week is coming up and I live so close to the Shark Bite Capital of the US (New Smyrna Beach, FL).  Your welcome for a fun fact, lol.  I decided to play with the "Shark Bites" stamp set.  I picked 3 blue inks to create the Ombre effect.  When I transitioned to the next color I stamped half my shark in one color and the next for a gradient.

I then stamped the main shark on some vellum and placed him on top so you can still see the Ombre effect.  To top the card off I added some twine, washi tape and sequins.  I hope you enjoyed my card and decided to play along

MFT Sketch Challenge #275

Happy Monday!!!  I had a bit of scrappy time to myself this weekend and was able to play along in a few challenges!!!!  I finally, got out my MFT Stamps!
I used Polynesian Paradise, since summer is practically here. In Florida, it's always summer, right ?Here is the sketch I had to follow below.

I used the Stitched Circle Stax Dienamics,  Blueprints  20 set for the banner. I masked the flowers around the pineapple, and colored just bits and pieces for a soft look.

Lawnscaping Challenge #115

Hi there!!! I have some exciting news to share!!!  I am a Guest Designer this month for Lawnscaping Challenge!!!  WOOT WOOT!!!  If you are a lover of the ever so cute Lawn Fawn stamps, this is a challenge dedicated to them!

This challenge is all about SENTIMENTS!  I combined the "Scripty Hello" Die Cut sentiment with a stamped sentiment  from "Sunny Skies" for my card.  I die cut the "Scripty Hello" several times and glued them together to make it POP off the card.

Then, I took the You are "My Sunshine sentiment" from "Sunny Skies" stamp set. and just inked up the word sunshine.  Thus, to form "Hello Sunshine". To finish off the card I stamped at tiny heart and splattered some spray mists for a fun background.  Then, toped it off with some Sequins.

I hope you enjoyed my card and play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge!

Newton's Nook Designs Ink Paws Challenge #17

Hello my lovelies! Today, I am here with a card for the current Inky Paws Challenge. In Lieu of the upcoming holiday the challenge is to use a heart shape.  Well, I used a few hearts on  my card!  From heart washi tape to the stamped animal print heart from the Wild about Zoo set.  Finishing it off with  heart punched  vellum at the bottom of my card.

Love Story Card By Danielle Pandeline | featurng Wild About You - Newton's Nook Designs

I have been getting a lot of buzz on my current backgrounds.  If you didn't see my January Release for NND check here and here.  I can't get enough of using Heavy Gel Medium with stencils.  I figured I would do a small photo tutorial.

Lot's of Photos below!!!
First, you will need the following items:

  1. Any brand Heavy Gel Medium (you could probably use any type of gel medium)
  2. Your favorite stencil of choice
  3. Palette Knife/credit card/finger lol
  4. Heat Gun (not necessary, just speeds things up)
  5. Your favorite Ink ( I chose distress ink)
  6. Ink Blending Tool w/foam applicator
First, tape down your stencil to ensure a clean impression.

Next, apply your Gel Medium with your tool of choice. Be sure to get it in all the nooks and crannies.

Gently, remove stencil (be sure to clean the stencil right away or let it sit in a container of water for easy clean up) and let it air dry or speed things up with a heat gun. This process takes the longest even with the heat gun.  Gel Medium is not like embossing paste and needs a lot more time to set up.  The gel medium will dry clear to reveal the patterned paper beneath it.

Quick Tip:  Keep the heat gun moving at all times and don't get too close to the gell with it.  The gel will have bubbles or crackle.  If you like that look then go for it!!!  It does add another level of texture to the card.

Once dry, grab your ink and blending tool and blend away!!!!!  The Gel Medium will resist the ink, just wipe over with a clean cloth/towel/etc...

Tah Dah! Your done!!!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I can't wait to see what you create for the Inky Paws Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink Paws Challenge - Christmas Theme

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!  I hope yours was great! As it was my sister and I's first time tackling the big bird ourselves.  All in all it came out great, we had a few hiccups with an oven failing to work. Yikes!  But, we just drove the bird to my place and crisis averted!  My house smelled delicious.

Now on to the card!!!  I created a very non traditional/funny holiday card. I wanted to demonstrate that you can use all the sets from Newton's Nook designs for any time of the year!

So I went with the ever popular non holiday colors that are so trendy this year. Blues and Purples. I used distress Ink over embossed resist snowflakes.  I then had an extra dinosaur water colored from an older video I made here.  Once you give him a cute hat he becomes very festive and ready for the holidays!!

Don't forget it's Shop Small Saturday!!!!  Be sure to head on over to the Newton's Nook Designs Store to get your holiday shopping done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Relax....

Happy Friday!!!!  I am so glad it's the end of the week and I really wish I was on the beach in our Inky Paws Challenge Image today!!!  Instead it's Newton who gets to relax on the Beach today. lol

I recently got my hands on some Peerless Watercolors and I have to say they are awesome!! The pigment is super bright and bold!!No need for layering color to achieve the brightness you want.

I used our NEW Release Newton's Summer Vacation.  I just love him in the inner tube!! I added some dots for more texture and interest with a white Gel pen.  I hope you are inspired to play along with us in the Inky Paws Challenge!!!

Nothing better than a GOLD camera!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!  As we are all basking in the sun, grilling and swimming....I am sadly working.  Yes, but hopefully I can have a good evening and watch some fireworks and eat some steaks on the grill!!!! Yummy!

This is the first time playing along with the Avery Elle I <3 a="" challenge.="" u="">  I recently got the Smile stamp set from Butterfly Reflections Ink Online Store.  I just HAD to play with it ASAP!!!  My first thought was to emboss it in gold powder.  Then I was like ..... why not on vellum..  Oh its a match made in heaven!   I then jazzed it up with some gold glitter in the center (it did warp the vellum a bit.. i used glossy accents).  But, I still worked with it an stapled it to the card to hold it down.

The rest of the card is just some patterned paper with a circle punch and some homemade enamel dots.

I hope you enjoyed my card, it was quick and easy to create.

Happy Stamping!
