Aloha....Hello...

Happy Sunday!!!!  I am here with another card for the Create A Smile Guest DT Entry.   I used this AWESOME AMAZING MOST FAVORITE FREEBIE I have ever seen!!! (ok ok, penguins have a place in my heart, so I am a little bias!). You can get the free digi here.

There is a lot of texture going on here. I used some new Pearlecent Embossing Paste and a Studio Calico Stencil.  I then sprayed some Heidi Swapp Spray on some plastic, mooshed it around a bit...then smashed it down on my background.  Then dropped some silver tinsel Heidi Swapp over that.  I colored the penguin with copics and blended orange with yellows for the first time ever. Then I added a sentiment from the Avery Elle - Surfs Up stamp set, they go great with the little penguin!

For the last touch of texture I added some yellow twine.  I unraveled the ends and I love the look it adds. It remind me of some beach hair!!!

Inky Paws Challenge #10 - Add A Texture!

Hello my lovely followers of Newton's Nook Designs!  I am here today with a card for the Inky Paws Challenge - Add a Texture!  I had so much fun creating this card for you and I hope you are inspired to play along in the challenge.  Please, leave me a comment with a link to your card so I can check it out. I would love to see what you create.

For this card I used a piece of stick back canvas from Ranger and used Newton's paw stamp from Newton's Antics with some Distress Paint to make it look like Newton was inspired by Van Gogh for his first original piece of art!  I just stamped out the painting with the single Newton Pay and different colors of Distress Paint, easy as pie!  Then I stamped out the wooden frame...to add MORE TEXTURE from Around the House set.

Picked my some crazy patterned papers to look like wallpaper and carpet.  Added a Mischievous Newton from Newton's Antics and got him all messy with the same Distress Paint.  To finish it off I added some buttons for the flower centers and added a cute little banner stating that Newton totally, "Nailed it".  If this card doesn't make you smile I don't know what will!

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration card for the Inky Paws Challenge and hope you play along too!  Click here to submit your card!

Lawnscaping Challenge #53 - Texture

Well, Lawnscaping Challenge, you challenged me to make my card with texture and I gave it you! With a bang! lol So, I hadn't gotten my new Lawn Fawn stamps inky yet! I know, what am I thinking. I took out my new stamps and starred at them for a while. I knew I wanted to make that zebra pink and white. Since the card would be from a Woman to a Man.  Then "BANG" it came to me.....i'm going to make grass from Lawn Trimmings. I sprayed the Trimmings with Mr. Huey's to make it green.
