Newtons Nook Designs November Release - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Newtons Nook Designs November Release. Today, we are featuring Serene Silhouettes.  I love this set and the versatility of it. With coordinating dies the possibilities are endless.

Serene Silhouettes | Newtons Nook Designs | Card Created by Danielle Pandeline

I created a cool background using my spray stains, you all should know they are my go to for backgrounds!  I embossed the birch trees with silver embossing powder and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.  Then instead of stamping and die cutting the bears out. I just used the die cuts.

Newtons Nook Designs November Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newtons Nook Designs November Release. Today, we are featuring 2 stamp sets. Sweater Weather with all of Newtons friends getting in on the fun and Fireside Friends.

Sweater Weather | Newtons Nook Designs | Created by Danielle Pandeline

For the Sweater Weather Card I created my own background with the mittens and snowflakes. I then added Winston peaking out from a tag from the Joyful Tags set reveled yesterday.

Fireside Friends | Newtons Nook Designs | Created by Danielle Pandeline

For Fireside Friends, I colored up the pile of animals, lol!  Die cut them out added a warm plaid background to them and placed them on a shiny embossed piece of card stock that you might recognize from a previous card.   I love using my scraps!

Peace to all

Hey there! Happy December!  I hope you all are getting all your cooking making and shopping done!  I'm almost finished. I still have to get my Christmas cards in the mail!  I am still in awe of the latest Newtons Nook Designs stamp set, "Whispering Pines". I love the techniques you can achieve with a solid stamp.

For, this one I inked it up in a green and grey, spritzed a light mist of water to get the colors to lightly blend (but, they didn't).  For the background I went to my go to Distress Sprays and Gold Heidi Swapp spray for the bottom. Topped the card off with some sequins for ornaments and tah-dah a card!

I hope you all have a happy holidays and give some Newton's Nook to the crafter in your family! It makes a great present!

Thanks for stopping by!

Newtons Nook Designs Holiday Release - Day 1

Hey! It's Newtons Nook Designs Holiday Release week! Today, we are featuring "Holiday Smooches".  I created this fun card with an acetate front to reveal the distressed backdrop. I used washi tape as a hinge, it works great.  The penguins and the snow bank are attached to the acetate and the backdrop is inside with the sentiment. There is enough room at the bottom to write something special and not be scene from the outside.

Quick Tip:  Pre heat emboss cardstock before it is attached to the acetate.  The acetate will melt and warp with intense heat.  Ask me how I know! lol

Lawnscaping #97 Challenge

Hello crafty friends!!!  I have a last minute card today.  I decided to play in the Lawnscaping Challenge #97 it's Winter Themed.  I really haven't played with my Lawn Fawn stamps in a while as I have been busy with Design Team stuff.

Happy Ice Day | Featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps | Created by Danielle Pandeline

I decided to get messy and try something new.  I mixed Heavy Gel Medium with some Re Inker to try to tone it.  Well it worked!  It didn't mix very well and started to get funky...but its what I wanted so I am happy.

I then kept the rest of the card simple, I copic colered the penguin added some Flower Soft under his feet.  He needed some grounding.  Added the tinted vellum with some sequins and added the sentiment Happy Ice Day!!! I love the texture of the icey background.

Materials:
Lawn Fawn Stamps

Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the November Release for Newton's Nook Designs!  You are gonna love to Ink , Spray, and Distress this set that will be available for purchase November 12th in the store!

Jennifer designed these snowflakes to look like quilled designs! This is so more efficient than quilling them out of paper every time.

I knew right when I saw this set I wanted to use some distress ink with heat embossed snowflakes for a resist on some watercolor paper.

Then I also set a few aside to cut out and pop up.  To make the sentiment stand out more I used some washi tape in my stash. I used two rows of it for a wide banner, then topped the vellum over it with the embossed sentiment.

I love the distress technique. I could use it on  everything!

Would you like to win “Beautiful Blizzard”?
