Newton's Nook Designs's Inky Paws Challenge #06

Hey all you Newton Fans!!!! It's time for an Inky Paws Challenge.  This time we have changed it up, and made a color challenge.  I just LOVE the colors in this inspirtaion photo, it also makes me hungry for some cookies! Mmmm.....

I loved the spring time feel of the colors and decided to go with an outdoors scene.  I really wanted to use the squirrel from the NEW Sweetheart Tails set. So with brainstorming and help from my crafty partner in crime came up with Newton hanging from the tree to meet the squirrel!

You wouldn't believe it but I used a holiday set on this card!!! YEP!  I used Newton's Holiday Mischief. Normally Newton is hanging off of the wreath, but I cut him out and let him hang from my FUN washi branch.  I free handed the washi tape branch is was SUPER easy and looks great too.

Too finish the card off I used some fun cloud patterned paper and cut some green pattern paper with my grass border punch (one of my must have tools!)  I Stamped "hello" on it from the Winged Wishes Set added some enamel dots and called it a day!

I hope you play along in the Inky Paws Challenge and got inspired by my card and the rest of the design team!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Materials:

Can't wait to get your Paws Inky?????  The January Release will be available to purchase tomorrow January 17th  here.

For my first card I used a bunch of diecuts and layered them.  I watercolored an ombre effect on the circle.  Then stamped the cute bunch of hearts in my favorite gold ink (Delicata).  I was so proud I even dug out some old stickers from my stash! Who knows how old they are, i'm just glad I got to use them.

For my additional card I used the cute little owl from the set. I mean how could you not LOVE that owl.  I added some cute fluffy clouds and some washi tape to create a scene for the owl.

Newton's Nook Design's January Release - Day 1

Welcome to Love A La Carte by Newton's Nook Designs!  You just don't know how much I just LOVE this new set!  There are adorable images with accompanying cute sentiments. Would you like to win Love A La Carte???  Details at the end of my post!

For the first card, which is also featured on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog.  I colored the cutest little coffee cup with copic markers... really simple not much blending needed.  I then Layered it with some Vellum, which is really hot again and so fun to use!

For my additional card. I had this CRAZY idea for a stack of cinnamon rolls!!! Who wouldn't love a stack of cinnamon rolls?? Right?  MMMmmmm......   So, I made a couple of masks of the cinnamon roll to help stack them to make one stamped image.  Well, while I assembled the card....my little helper Nash decided to run off with my stack of cinnamon buns.  Yep! He decided they looked so yummy that we wanted one for himself.  After all the time I had in that image, I ran with it and decided to tell all the Newton fans of my Kitty Helper who sometimes makes scrapping difficult!

Check out the video below for a closer look!

Paper Smooches - Anything Goes!

Hey all!  I am here today with a card for Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge Anything Goes.  I just got my hands on the new camera set from Paper Smooches.  I decided to splatter a little Mr. Huey's  and use up some of my ever growing washi tape collection.

I dug out some items I have been hoarding for a while!  The graph tag I got a while back from Tuesday Morning and the Silver heart was a gift from a friend.

I colored the camera with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a water brush. I just LOVE that look!

Happy Scrappin!
