STAMPtember Exclusive by Newtons Nook Designs

Happy Monday!!!!  EAK! I'm am so excited to announce Newtons Nook Designs has partnered with Simon Says Stamp to bring you a STAMPtember exclusive set and matching dies. This new set is called Bushels of Love and it features a lot of Newtons furry friends. 

The background for this card is a lot watercolor and spray mists.  I just love to play around and get all messy.  I really focused on my coloring and tried to stay within the lines!  It's really hard to do when there are dies for these images, which leave a thin white boarder.  I added some grass washi tape to ground the fox and placed some on the inside of the card and cut off a 1/4" on the top fold to let it show.  I think it adds a nice touch. 

Here is a look at the whole set and you get dies for all the images.  No fussy cutting around Winston and his pumpkin. Whew!

Newtons Nook Designs September Release -Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of Newtons Nook Designs September Release! Today, we are featuring "Fall-ing for You".  I knew the minute I set my eyes on this card that I had to create a chalkboard look with that sentiment.  It totally reminded me of walking into a coffee shop and seeing this sign. 

Want to create a chalkboard look?

Supplies Needed:

Black Card Stock
White Pigment Ink
White Embossing Power
Heat Tool

Stamp image with white pigment ink, apply white embossing powder and heat set. Now here is the magical part, it's really technical so pay attention. Take a finger and dab it in to the white pigment ink gently drag your finger left to right to left or back and forth across the sentiment. (Make sure your embossing has cooled or it will burn and stick your finger) Rub the ink around and blend it in till you achieved the desired look!

Newtons Nook Designs August Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newtons Nook Designs August Release. Today, we are featuring Beautiful Leaves stamp set and matching dies.  This is basically a one layer card. I just have it on a second panel, just in case I made a mistake.  Just some simple coloring on the leaves for a clean and simple card. 

While I did not use the coordinating dies for this card, the would come in handy!

Newtons Nook Designs STAMPtember Exclusive

Hello!!!!  Today, I am introducing an Exclusive Stamp set for STAMPtember  by Newtons Nook Designs and Simon Says Stamp!  EAK!  I was so excited to hear the news of the stamp set I got butterflies in my tummy!

Inspired by the Runway!

Hey all you fashionistas! Today, I decided to play along in the Runway Inspired Challenge!  It's really fun because you get to interpret the image however you want.  So again I decided to get inky with my new Lawn Fawn Products! YAY!!!!  Here is my card I hope you like it! 

Even though Fall never really feels like FALL until November here in Florida. I decided to start to make the transition now cause I can't wait. I am really in love with the Stitched Leaves Dies from Lawn Fawn. The detail they add is amai-ZING!

Oh boy did I get messy!

I played along with the Lawnscaping Challenge  and got really messy.....I mean Inky!!! hahha  Playing with distress inks are messy but fun! After a bunch of failed attempts I got a winner (I hope). 

I distressed the pumpkins with Distress ink and a blender tool. The little leaves are colored with Distress Markers and embossed with the Distress Powder. The cute little owl is colored with Copic Markers.

Gobble...Gobble....Wobble...Wobble...

It's almost Turkey Day!!!!!! Time to eat, sleep and eat some more!!!!! I can't wait! My work holds a "Pilgrim Style" feast! A bunch of tables in a long row, outside in what I hope is good weather. We Give Thanks and eat, then some reside inside and watch Football, while others enjoy the weather and go for hay rides, go-kart rides, sack races, and more! I love that it is so different then the normal eat and sleep routine!!!

On to the card! I know a lot of us received our Action Wobble Samples in the mail last week and I am in love! Showing them to anyone I can!!! I can't wait to "wobble" everything!!! Since, I saw Momo, from Made by Momo demo the new product, I decided to use it on a card for her "Turkey" challenge!
