I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Mama Elephant is going to have challenges!  I love it when companies have their own challenges and you can win the products you love to play with the most.

For this project, I had made most of my Christmas cards, but I still need a few more. So, I decided to use two of the Mama Elephant stamps sets and get to work fast!

I'm Still Here!!

Hey all!!! I am still here!! I have actually been active on YouTube posting lots of videos. I have been bad on posting them to my blog.  It has been crazy since Thanksgiving. my dad was visiting and of course everyday was a new adventure. Then it just rolls right into December. It is a a busy month for me as Christmas and Birthdays all fall this month. I have had barley any time to wrap presents.  I did make handmade Christmas cards and sent those out. I have a few more to make.  Also, I deceided to make a December Daily and trying to stay up to date with that. I made Kathy Orta's Lapbook Style December Daily. It has several pockets, pull outs, and hidden compartments. I will be making a video on mine soon!

Just to catch you all up on my videos here is one of my latest!!!  I will also be having a Giveaway for my 100 Subscribers or Subbies on YouTube. If you are not a subscriber head on over and enjoy!!! I am Girlracerphoto on YouTube. There is no need for multiple usernames in my chaotic world.  You will see mainly scrapbooking hauls, tips & Tricks and layout / card shares. I will also post some non scrapbooking related items (Scooter Rides, Car Shows) just pass them by or watch them if you like!

I hope you subscribe and enjoy my adventures in Scrapbooking!

The oil' 1 - 2 punch! Hero arts style!

Weeeeeeeee! That's what I imagine that cute little reindeer screaming as he jumps through the snow! So my bestie Sam just loves this little guy, so I was inspired and purchased him. I do enjoy making his little sweater several colors. This card fit the Blog named Hero challenge of the oil' 1 - 2 punch! I die cut the shape that the reindeer is on and the rest is just Lawn Fawn paper! Which fits with the theme of the blog this week!

Sweet Stamp Challenge

Here is my entry for the Sweet Stamp Shop Challenge. Black, White and One Color!  Do you know how difficult this is to do.  I actually tore off the scooter cause it was on multi colored patterned paper and looked adorable. I had to go back and read the challenge again ONE color argh!!!! But, it looked soo cute! So I found a different patterned paper that was one color. I will be sending this to a friend of mine who moved South and we don't get to se her all the time.

Lawnscaping Challenge #44

Try a new technique is challenge #44 over at Lawnscaping. This challenge was a doosey! I really stepped out of my box for this one. First, off I made a layout, I haven't done that in a while. :-) I really wanted to use my first Studio Calico kit, which is the October kit with an add on. So, I tried to use mostly my kit with Lawn Fawn stamps. I ended up using washi tape that wasn't in the kit and thickers. My first technique was heat embossing directly on my background paper. Let me tell you, it was sooo scary. I've heat embossed before, but on another sheet of paper that if I mess up its no big deal. This time, I didn't have a back up plan. Luckily, it came out fine, only cause I was FaceTiming/Skype with my BF Sam and she reminded me to use my embossing buddy. Which I always forget to use before I heat emboss. An embossing buddy, dryer sheet or the EK Success powder tool keeps stray embossing powder from sticking where it shouldn't. Giving you a clean image. My second technique is dry embossing a cut out. I stamped and cut some Lawn Fawn clouds then dry embossed them in my Cuttlebug. Normally, I emboss entire backgrounds, never pieces. My third technique, is a layered layout, not my normal style. I usually mat my photos and have a boarder, just a simple style. I hope you enjoy my layout I was definitely in uncharted waters!

Lawnscaping Challenge #42 - Getting Texty

So, at the last minute I had an idea for the Lawnscaping, Getting Texty challenge. I also was experimenting with my Gelatos. Yes, I finally caved in and got some a few weeks ago with 50% off coupons. I hear embossed the speech bubbles with clear embossing powder and then rubbed my Gelatos all over the front. Then blended them with a baby wipe. They react to water, and a damp baby wipe worked well and kept me pretty clean! I used Versafine black ink for the words. I did heat set it to make sure it would not smear. I then recycled some twine that came in a order I placed and bam! I'm done!
