Newtons Nook Designs - Simply Wonderful

Happy Thursday!!  It's my Friday, since I have off tomorrow! Yippie!!!  Spring is here and the flowers are blooming. Which inspired me to create this lovely card featuring Newtons Nook Designs Stamps.  I used,  "Love Grows" and "Beautiful Wings" stamp sets. They go together really well.

I did all my stamping on watercolor paper, with Archival Ink.  The best combination for watercoloring. Then grab your favorite watercolor mediums and get to coloring. This is why I love watercoloring, it is very forgiving. You can be messy or neat, it doesn't really matter.

I was tired of good ole squared cards. and went with a circle die cut this time around.

Newtons Nook Designs - March Release - Day 3

Ello! Day 3 of the Newtons Nook Designs March Release is here!!!  Nope, that wasn't a typo, I meant to say ello! Eak!  I just love this stamp set!!!!  While I have never been to London, it just makes me smile!

I started off stamping out the I love London to create a washi looking effect. Then colored up Newton , the phone booth and big ben! I splashed some spray in the background, added some matching enamel dots and some houndstooth washi tape to create a Smashing scene! (shh....working on my London accent.)

Newtons Nook Designs - March Release - Day 2

Day 2 of the Newtons Nook Designs March release is here!  Today, we are showcasing the "Beautiful Wings" stamp set. This is another amazing Quilling inspired stamp set.

I started off with embossing the butterflies and ladybug on some watercolor paper. Then watercolored them in some fun spring colors.  I used the coordinating Purr-fect Dies to cut them out!  These are a must have, no one has time for fussy cutting.

I wanted an elegant background so I embossed my card base. Then, added all my butterflies and ladybug.  I added the washi tape and sentiment and decided it still needed something. So, I got out my Heidi Swapp Gold Spray and used a paint brush and dabbled it on all around to give it some more shimmer.  Topped it with some clear and black bling and called it a day!  It has a lot going on, but I like it.

Newtons Nook Designs - March Release - Day 1

Happy Release Day!!!  Spring is here in Florida and the Newtons Nook March Release is here as well!  Today, we are showcasing "Hello Spring" which features the Newtons Nook Bunny and other fun spring images.

I kept this card somewhat CAS (Clean and Simple).  I broke out the brand new Distress Crayons and colored the background.

Quick Tip:  The distress Crayons blend nicer onto of a coat of gesso. ;-)

When I coated the background with gesso it created a woodgrain looking background.  So, I went with it and kept it a bit masculine and just added the carrot and a sentiment.

Love you more

Happy Tuesday!!  Today, I have created an adorable card featuring the "Love You More" stamp set from My Style Stamps.  Check out the entire stamps set here.

I created the background with some watercolor paper and Distress Sprays. I love how they blend together so easily.  I colored the whales with Copic markers and added light spots to them for texture.

Then, I die cut the waves out of some vellum and layered them with the whales. Topped it off with hears and some bling bubbles.

Be sure to head on over to the My Style Stamps Facebook Group and share your creations!
