Cuddly Kitties

Happy Friday! Today, starts a new Inky Paws Challenge from Newtons Nook Designs.  The fun color challenge  it great!  You can use the image as inspiration too, but I just chose the color pallet.

I started off by spraying my card base with some Dylusions spray in white, pretty heavily. I let it drip, run and then dry.  I die cut the cloud from some patterned paper. I had an extra set of trees that I had stamped a while back. I stamped them with distress ink then sprayed a touch of water on the stamp before I stamped it down to get the effect.

I topped the card off with the snuggling kitties and the meow die cut and a couple of enamel dots.

Quick Tip: I just colored the meow die cut with a red marker to get it the color I needed. Always a great tip when you don't have the right shade.

I hope you play along with the Inky Paws challenge.  I would love to see what you create!

Peace to all

Hey there! Happy December!  I hope you all are getting all your cooking making and shopping done!  I'm almost finished. I still have to get my Christmas cards in the mail!  I am still in awe of the latest Newtons Nook Designs stamp set, "Whispering Pines". I love the techniques you can achieve with a solid stamp.

For, this one I inked it up in a green and grey, spritzed a light mist of water to get the colors to lightly blend (but, they didn't).  For the background I went to my go to Distress Sprays and Gold Heidi Swapp spray for the bottom. Topped the card off with some sequins for ornaments and tah-dah a card!

I hope you all have a happy holidays and give some Newton's Nook to the crafter in your family! It makes a great present!

Thanks for stopping by!
