Lawnscaping #97 Challenge

Hello crafty friends!!!  I have a last minute card today.  I decided to play in the Lawnscaping Challenge #97 it's Winter Themed.  I really haven't played with my Lawn Fawn stamps in a while as I have been busy with Design Team stuff.

Happy Ice Day | Featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps | Created by Danielle Pandeline

I decided to get messy and try something new.  I mixed Heavy Gel Medium with some Re Inker to try to tone it.  Well it worked!  It didn't mix very well and started to get funky...but its what I wanted so I am happy.

I then kept the rest of the card simple, I copic colered the penguin added some Flower Soft under his feet.  He needed some grounding.  Added the tinted vellum with some sequins and added the sentiment Happy Ice Day!!! I love the texture of the icey background.

Materials:
Lawn Fawn Stamps
- Winter Penguin
- Critters in the Arctic
Sequins
Distress Re Inker - Tumbled Glass
Golden - Heavy Gel Medium Clear
Flower Soft
White Embossing Powder
Tinted Vellum

I hope you enjoyed my little adventure and come back tomorrow for a double does of blog posts!!!  I have a My Style Stamps Post and Day one of the Newton's Nook Designs January Release!!

Happiness is..

Hello my crafty friends!!!  I hope you have had a great weekend so far. Christmas is right around the corner...eak! Are you finished with your shopping?  I'm not.

I decided to play along in the current Mama Elephant and Me Challenge to take a break from all the Christmas shenanigans!

I really wanted to use both of the new sets I got from Mama Elephant, Purrfect Pair and Arctic Penguins. So I combined the cute Penguin with a sentiment from Purrfect Pair and I think it worked out great!

Materials:

Amy Tan Patterned Paper
Mama Elephant Stamps
-Purrfect Pair
-Arctic Penguins
Peerless Watercolors
Sequins
Clear Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink

Thanks for stopping by!

Aloha....Hello...

Happy Sunday!!!!  I am here with another card for the Create A Smile Guest DT Entry.   I used this AWESOME AMAZING MOST FAVORITE FREEBIE I have ever seen!!! (ok ok, penguins have a place in my heart, so I am a little bias!). You can get the free digi here.

There is a lot of texture going on here. I used some new Pearlecent Embossing Paste and a Studio Calico Stencil.  I then sprayed some Heidi Swapp Spray on some plastic, mooshed it around a bit...then smashed it down on my background.  Then dropped some silver tinsel Heidi Swapp over that.  I colored the penguin with copics and blended orange with yellows for the first time ever. Then I added a sentiment from the Avery Elle - Surfs Up stamp set, they go great with the little penguin!

For the last touch of texture I added some yellow twine.  I unraveled the ends and I love the look it adds. It remind me of some beach hair!!!

Materials:
Create A Smile Free Digi - Penguin
Copic Markeres
Dreamweaver Perlecent Embossing Paste
Avery Elle Stamps - Surfs Up
Heidi Swapp Sprays
Jillybean Soup Twine
Recollections 120lb Cardstock

Happy Stamping!

My Pink Stamper 5 Million Hits Challenge #2 - Bird

It's that time of year that I get excited for! Thanksgiving?....no. Halloween?..........no It's Hockey Season!!!!!!!!! Finally, something to watch on T.V.! I am a huge Pittsburgh Penguin fan, even through the hard times and the good, I never strayed away to a different team. I made this card for a friend of my dad's who has season tickets every year and sends me all the goodies, tickets, etc....that he gets. His relatives don't appreciate it like I do! When I send him a Thank You card for the items I always make it Penguin themed! I think this card came out great! Very Masculine!

Also, Robyn over at My Pink Stamper hit 5 Million Hits and is having a mega giveaway Celebration this weekend! This card is for Challenge #2 Make something with a Bird!
