Tweet Tweet Summer Days

Wowza! I am at it again! But, for a good reason! I am working this weekend and I will not be able to get crafty till Monday (I hope).  I decided to take the plunge and play along with Neat & Tangled's Project Life Challenge.  I am a BIG fan of creating my own Project Life cards. What is a better way to use up your stash and document life at the same time? RIGHT?

Well, I pulled out one of Neat & Tangled's FREE Digital stamps used some Derwent Inktense Pencils to color the cute little birdie. Then I masked off parts of a stencil with washi tape to make a faux Sun Rays stencil out of dots. I used a combination of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Mustard and Mr. Huey's Sunshine sprays.  Now I couldn't just leave it alone I had to add some sequins and a title and TA-DA! A great title card for a summer event. And since I am still behind in my Project Life I can still use it! YAY!

I also thought a fun way to photograph the card (since it will not stand up on it's own) was to hold it against the lovely Florida sky!  I hope you enjoyed!

Better late than never, right?  The current  Timeless Twine Challenge is almost reaching the deadline. Well, I wanted to play with my new twine so I had to wait for it to come in the mail. So what do I do?  Make a haul video of my goodies and get scrappy! lol  I decided to make a layout for a change cause I am up to my ears in cards lately. :-)

I used my twine to frame my photo and I think it looks GREAT! I used Scotch quick dry liquid glue to adhere it around my photo.

Sweet Stamp Shop August Release Day!

Hip Hip Hooray! It's August Release Day!  Yep, you guessed it, Today, is Sweet Stamp Shops August Release.  We have some lovely new stamp sets to show you, just in time for FALL.  I got to play with two of the new stamp sets Triangle Style and Turkey Hotline.  To see the entire release and the rest of the Design Team samples head on over to the Sweet Blog here!

This set is very versatile! I used it on a layout of my Sweet dachshund Sidney when he was a baby. I paired it with a few older sets by Sweet Stamp Shop for an amazing design!

Here, I created a fun background with the triangles and made a cluster for the sentiment.  The possibilities are endless with this set, it just goes with EVERYTHING!

*Ring* Ring* Ring* Gobble Gobble Gobble....Did someone call the Turkey Hotline?  This has to be the best stamp set for Project Life for the upcoming holiday season!!! I can see it used on PL Cards, layouts, and more!  Here I stamped the 1-800 #'s on vellum (very trendy again!).  Then I inked up the turkey with stamp markers, which gave him a bit of a watercolor look.

Remember to head on over the Sweet Blog to see the rest of the August Reveal and the Wonderful Design Team Samples.

Don't forget the Coupon Code for 25% off the August Release is NRA25 it is good through tomorrow at noon.

One Lovely Layer

Hello my crafty peeps! How you coin?  Yep, it's Friday and I have a card for you!!!  This is a ONE layer card. I know, it's hard to not pick up patterned paper, washi tape, wood veneers or enamel dots these days. But, I resisted and made this fun card to play in the Lawnscaping Challenge!

I really love how simple and BRIGHT this card turned out. A really simple card to mass produce for Valentine's Day!  (Hey, time to get things done REALLY early)

A Recycled Happy Birthday!

Hello all my scrappy followers!  Today, is a double challenge card. Yep, I don't know how I did it but I did!  I started of by playing along with the A Blog Named Hero Recycling Challenge and when I was done.....I was like WHOA! I guess I Cas(e) the Sketch!  While this may not be very Clean and Simple... It was very easy and quick!

I started of with some scraps on my desk...I found the embossed acetate packaging I had done a while back and never used in on a card.  I also had this medium sized brown paper bag on my desk that I kept trying to use and just couldn't make it happen.  I cut the bag down to be manageable on a card and picked a scrap of yellow paper out of my trash that I had sketched a heart on. I stamped over the heart and cut it out with a tag die.  Placed that sucker in the pocket and BAM! Instant Embellie!

Since, there is no great way to attached the acetate to the card, I used my trusty stapler.

Recycled Materials Used:
- Brown Paper Bag
- Acetate from packaging
- Scrap paper I Literally pulled from my trash can!

I think I did pretty good on Recycling some stuff, that would have gone to the landfill.

Hero Arts Stamp - Glow Girl
MFT - Tag Die
Brown Paper Bag

I got my paws inky and came up with this card for the sketch challenge.

The best part of this card WOBBLES!!! Yep, I used an Action Wobble behind Newton to make (In theory) his butt wiggle, as if he was about to pounce on the mouse to catch it.
