You Stole My Heart

Hello there!!!  Valentine's Day is coming up and I am bringing you a funny Valentine's card for anyone in your life featuring Newton's Nook Designs Stamps!

You Stole My Heart | Featuring Newton's Nook Designs | Created By Danielle Pandeline

First, off I started using the T-Rex from Prehistoric Pals...I know. I just can't get enough of this guy and his little arms!!!!  I thought it would be cute to make him hold a giant heart from Wild About Zoo and use the sentiment from Sweetheart Tails that matched perfectly. I colored him with Bic Mark It Pens for a change. Since they don't blend well I used some dots to add texture and shading.

I added a star background with pearlecent embossing paste on some patterned paper and a couple of enamel dots.  For the grass I used a die from MFT and spritzed it with some Heidi Swapp Spray for some more texture and dimension.

You can find the stamps sets I used from Newton's Nook Designs at the links below.

Newton's Nook Designs Ink Paws Challenge #17

Hello my lovelies! Today, I am here with a card for the current Inky Paws Challenge. In Lieu of the upcoming holiday the challenge is to use a heart shape.  Well, I used a few hearts on  my card!  From heart washi tape to the stamped animal print heart from the Wild about Zoo set.  Finishing it off with  heart punched  vellum at the bottom of my card.

Love Story Card By Danielle Pandeline | featurng Wild About You - Newton's Nook Designs

I have been getting a lot of buzz on my current backgrounds.  If you didn't see my January Release for NND check here and here.  I can't get enough of using Heavy Gel Medium with stencils.  I figured I would do a small photo tutorial.

Lot's of Photos below!!!
First, you will need the following items:

  1. Any brand Heavy Gel Medium (you could probably use any type of gel medium)
  2. Your favorite stencil of choice
  3. Palette Knife/credit card/finger lol
  4. Heat Gun (not necessary, just speeds things up)
  5. Your favorite Ink ( I chose distress ink)
  6. Ink Blending Tool w/foam applicator
First, tape down your stencil to ensure a clean impression.

Next, apply your Gel Medium with your tool of choice. Be sure to get it in all the nooks and crannies.

Gently, remove stencil (be sure to clean the stencil right away or let it sit in a container of water for easy clean up) and let it air dry or speed things up with a heat gun. This process takes the longest even with the heat gun.  Gel Medium is not like embossing paste and needs a lot more time to set up.  The gel medium will dry clear to reveal the patterned paper beneath it.

Quick Tip:  Keep the heat gun moving at all times and don't get too close to the gell with it.  The gel will have bubbles or crackle.  If you like that look then go for it!!!  It does add another level of texture to the card.

Once dry, grab your ink and blending tool and blend away!!!!!  The Gel Medium will resist the ink, just wipe over with a clean cloth/towel/etc...

Tah Dah! Your done!!!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I can't wait to see what you create for the Inky Paws Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dirty Laundry?

Happy Hump Day! Today, I am here with a project for My Style Stamps. I used the Wish I was stamp set which you can get here.  I created a fun magnet set to place on your washer to designate Clean or Dirty Clothes.

I used some self sticky magnet that I got at Wal Mart in the kids craft isle. Colored up the girl on the washer and then cut out two clouds using MFT Die-namics with some patterned paper, Heidi Swapp Mists for splattering, and some thickers.

Be sure to show us your projects over at the My Style Stamps Facebook Page here

A Custom Muslin Bag

Good Morning!  Today I bring you a project for My Style Stamps.  For this project I used Build A Blossom Stamp set.  I have to say this is set is totally worth the $$  you get a ton of images on this set.

I used Staz-On Ink to stamp on the muslin bag.  I made sure to have a piece of cardboard inside the bag to make sure the ink did not go through to the other side.  Then I added some gemstones to the flowers for some more detail. You can use a gemstone setting tool or some glossy accents.

After, I did that I decided to add a tag so you could give someone a bag full of Happy Mail!!!  I mean come on, who wouldn't love some Happy Mail in this fun bag.

Lawnscaping #97 Challenge

Hello crafty friends!!!  I have a last minute card today.  I decided to play in the Lawnscaping Challenge #97 it's Winter Themed.  I really haven't played with my Lawn Fawn stamps in a while as I have been busy with Design Team stuff.

Happy Ice Day | Featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps | Created by Danielle Pandeline

I decided to get messy and try something new.  I mixed Heavy Gel Medium with some Re Inker to try to tone it.  Well it worked!  It didn't mix very well and started to get funky...but its what I wanted so I am happy.
