Newtons Nook Designs - Deck The Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop! I have to say I am Geeking out on the special guests we have along on the hop with us today!  I have to bow down to their talent!

I used the BRAND NEW BONUS Stamp set "Whispering Pines".  I used 3 different types of inks to get a gradient effect. Spritz it with water to get the colors to blend and then stamped the image on watercolor paper.  I heat embossed the snow with a glittery white powder. For the sentiment I stamped on a piece of vellum and punched it out. I went for a clean and simple look with a lot of technique.

Quick Tip: If you don't have an embossing buddy around. Just head to the pantry and grab your baking powder (it's whats in the magic bags and the tools!!) Use a dry brush to apply before stamping your image to emboss!
