Sweet Stamp Shop August Release Day!

Hip Hip Hooray! It's August Release Day!  Yep, you guessed it, Today, is Sweet Stamp Shops August Release.  We have some lovely new stamp sets to show you, just in time for FALL.  I got to play with two of the new stamp sets Triangle Style and Turkey Hotline.  To see the entire release and the rest of the Design Team samples head on over to the Sweet Blog here!

This set is very versatile! I used it on a layout of my Sweet dachshund Sidney when he was a baby. I paired it with a few older sets by Sweet Stamp Shop for an amazing design!

Here, I created a fun background with the triangles and made a cluster for the sentiment.  The possibilities are endless with this set, it just goes with EVERYTHING!

*Ring* Ring* Ring* Gobble Gobble Gobble....Did someone call the Turkey Hotline?  This has to be the best stamp set for Project Life for the upcoming holiday season!!! I can see it used on PL Cards, layouts, and more!  Here I stamped the 1-800 #'s on vellum (very trendy again!).  Then I inked up the turkey with stamp markers, which gave him a bit of a watercolor look.

Remember to head on over the Sweet Blog to see the rest of the August Reveal and the Wonderful Design Team Samples.

Don't forget the Coupon Code for 25% off the August Release is NRA25 it is good through tomorrow at noon.

A Recycled Happy Birthday!

Hello all my scrappy followers!  Today, is a double challenge card. Yep, I don't know how I did it but I did!  I started of by playing along with the A Blog Named Hero Recycling Challenge and when I was done.....I was like WHOA! I guess I Cas(e) the Sketch!  While this may not be very Clean and Simple... It was very easy and quick!

I started of with some scraps on my desk...I found the embossed acetate packaging I had done a while back and never used in on a card.  I also had this medium sized brown paper bag on my desk that I kept trying to use and just couldn't make it happen.  I cut the bag down to be manageable on a card and picked a scrap of yellow paper out of my trash that I had sketched a heart on. I stamped over the heart and cut it out with a tag die.  Placed that sucker in the pocket and BAM! Instant Embellie!

Since, there is no great way to attached the acetate to the card, I used my trusty stapler.

Recycled Materials Used:
- Brown Paper Bag
- Acetate from packaging
- Scrap paper I Literally pulled from my trash can!

I think I did pretty good on Recycling some stuff, that would have gone to the landfill.

Materials:
Hero Arts Stamp - Glow Girl
MFT - Tag Die
Brown Paper Bag
Acetate from Packaging
Scrap Papers
Hero Arts Neon Blue Ink
Stapler
Wood Venners - Studio Calico
Neon Paint Pens
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Happy Scrapping!

Oh Hi!

Yep! It's a late night post! I wanted to get a card in for the latest Timeless Twine  Challenge.  I am going to get to the point and show you my card.

I got crafty real quick! I started off with my tag, ripped up some scraps that were laying on my table, colored up this cute cat from Newtons Nook Designs.  Ran some acetate through my Cuttlebug with an cloud embossing folder and made it the front of my card.

I also hand made the cute little tassel out of twine!

You're Great!

Hey-o! Today, I am playing in the CAS-UAL Fridays Challenge 110.  I don't think I have ever participated in a CAS-UAL Fridays challenge before.  I really liked their choice of using a number....so my brain just worked away trying to figure out a cute way to incorporate a number...well my first thought was really cute, but didn't work, my number was to large and my image was too small...yadda...yadda..yadda..

Any-who, this is what I came up with.....

IMG_4562 copy

I thought it was ironic that I used the number eight and octopus have eight legs.  Super cute...huh! Great thinking! I know! haha   My original plan was to have the eight sideways like glasses on the octopus.....but they were to large and octo is too small.  Err..... oh the problems a scrapbooker would say.  :-)

Materials:
Georgia Pacific White Cardstock
Lawn Fawn Stamps
-Critters Under the Sea
-Quinn's 123's
-Dad's Day
Colored Cardstock from my scraps (gotta use them up)
Stella Glitter pen
Memento Inks
