Thank You with Pineapples

Happy Thursday!  Today, I am here with a card for Newtons Nook Designs. Featuring the stamp set Pineapple Delight.  This set also has a matching die set  if you hate to fussy cut.  

I stamped my own custom patterned paper and filled in the background with the small swirls and hearts from the stamp set.  Then I also made a coordinating piece of patterned paper for the sentiment. To make the main pineapple pop. I used a orange-y Coral color to stand out.  I love creating my own background paper with stamps to make sure everything coordinates. 

To make the sentiment stand out I layered it on some vellum. It adds just a small touch to the card. To finish of my creation I added some sequins.

Newtons Nook Designs - 3 Year Celebration - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of Newtons Nook Designs 3 year celebration bash! Today, we are featuring "Aloha Newton".  I snuck in some other stamp sets into this card too from earlier in the week. Let's see if you can figure them out. ;-) 

I colored up this girlie Newton to look like a calico kitty. I might have placed her in a bed of pineapple heads! lol  Looks like pretty good grass to me.  For the background I used the sploosh technique with distress stains for a fun water look. 

We are also featuring the "Hibiscus" Die, which coordinated well with all the sets released this week. I kept this card CAS (Clean and Simple) to really show off the die cut.

Newtons Nook Designs - 3 Year Celebration - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Newtons Nook Designs 3 Year Celebration.  Today, we are featuring "Paradise Palms" stamp set. This is a fun bold set, with several ways to be creative. 

I stamped my image in Delicata Gold Ink and heat embossed clear powder over it. Then I sprayed Distress Stain Spray over in two colors until blended.  Added a strip of washi tape and the sentiment.

Newtons Nook Designs - 3 Year Celebration - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newtons Nook Designs 3 Year Celebration! Today, we are featuring 3 new stamp sets. "Party Pops", "Tiki Time", and "Pineapple Delight". All these sets coordinate well and have matching Purr-fect Die Sets.

Who wouldn't want to give this card a lick? lol  Some fun ink colors and die cuts can make a quick bold card. 

"Tiki Time"

These fun Tiki Totems, were made into fun drinks.  Who wouldn't want to have them in hand on the beach right now?! Right?  

"Pineapple Delight"

Pineapples are all the trend right now. CHA was covered in them, literally.  I love this set and the size of the pineapple.  I used the ombre neon ink pads from Hero Arts to get that fun effect.

Newtons Nook Designs - 3 Year Celebration - Day 1

Welcome to the HUGE July Release for Newtons Nook Designs! We are celebrating NND's 3 year anniversary.  Are you ready to party with us? Today, we are featuing "Freshly Squeezed" and "Dog Days of Summer".  I created this fun card with the "Freshly Squeezed" stamps set.  I used some of the lemon images to create some patterned paper. I also created my own strip of paper with the lemonade 50 cents by repeating over and over. 

My Dog Days of Summer project you will see on Friday for the amazing Blog Hop we are having with some famous crafters!!!!  I can't wait till you see it!

Newtons Nook Designs - Seas the Day!

Happy Thursday! Today, I am here with a fun summer card for you.  I used Tranquil Tides set from Newtons Nook Designs. There is also a matching Perfect Die Set too!  This card is pretty simple and really quick to whip up in a hurry.  

I used Dye based ink for a crisp clean stamped image. WARNING! Dye based inks will stain your clear stamps. IT doesn't hurt them, but the will discolor. 

I toped the card off with some ribbon from my stash and some enamel dots. I haven't used ribbon in forever.
