Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop 2015

Hi all my crafty friends!   Today, starts the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  I created a card using the brand new release from My Style Stamps. Thinking of Spring

Hello, my scrappy friends!!! Today, I bring you a fun, cheerful, springy card to brighten up your cold winter days.  I have to say I survived the Florida winter of two days of 30 degrees.  We are back to having the A/C on and the flip flops are back on!!! 

I used Versatile Vases from Newton's Nook Designs to create this Spring Card.  See that fun pink glittery frame???  Yup, I made a mess making that!!!!  Chunky glitter was everywhere!

Under the Stars

Happy OMG it's the middle of the week and the weekend is almost here day!! lol  Though I would change it up a bit.   Today, I am bringing you a fantastic set from a new designer for My Style Stamps, Sandra Amelia Designs!! She has some great designs and awesome handwriting.  

I used her new set "Chasing Love" you can get it over in the My Style Stamps Shop here.  I used some Distress Ink to create an atmospheric cloud of stars.  I might have gone overboard with all the stars for the whole goody bag.  But, I really wanted to go with the them.. I could imagine giving this to a loved one with move in the park tickets inside and some candy to munch on....am I setting the mood yet?? lol  I also topped it all of with some MSS Sequins..check out all the colors here.

For the love of Coffee

Happy Hump Day!!!!!!  Today, I am here with a super cute Coffee Gift!  I created a Kcup holder and decorated it with the new February Release from My Style Stamps!!!  FYI:  You can get this set "Coffee Lovers" and the rest of the AMAZING release Saturday Feb 21st!!!!  Trust me your going to want the entire new release. 

Assembling the Kcup holder was easy. There is a template here, sadly I didn't not invent this (wish I did though!). 

I made two holders and glued them back to back so you can give a Bigger gift of coffee!!!!  ;-)

A Special Surprise!!!

Hello my scrappy friends!!!

Today is a special day! And in honor of this special day - the Newton's Nook Design Team is throwing a surprise birthday blog hop in honor of our fearless leader (also known as the creater, owner, designer and heart of Newton's Nook Designs) Jennifer!

Jennifer is one of the kindest, talented and most considerate person ever, and because of that (and a million other reasons!) we wanted to help make her day as special as she is!

I have to say Jennifer, it has been such a blessing to work with Newtons Nook.  I am always grateful to keep coming back each term. Jen you are truly the sweetest!  I hope you have the Happiest Birthday EVER!!!  (I Wish I could celebrate in person). Have a Margarita for me!

Newtons Nook Designs February Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the February Release for Newton's Nook Designs.  I am super excited about this set. Because, I can totally relate as any cat momma would.  Introducing Naughty Newton!!!  Though I am renaming it Naughty Nash because Naughty is his middle name. I love love love this set!!!  

Ok, on to the card.  I have been seeing so much foiling since CHA, I decided to dust off the old technique (yes, it's nothing new). I placed lines of sticky strip down, peeled of the backer and placed the foil down.  I gently rubbed it all over, then pulled back the foil to reveal the glowing masterpiece you see below.  

Quick Tip: You can use Sticky Embossing Powder to do the same technique to stamped images.  Just stamp in versa mark, then apply the sticky embossing powder, heat, then apply foil, rub, and peel off.

Newtons Nook Designs February Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the February Release for Newton's Nook Designs.  Today, we are introducing Bunny Hop.  For this card I watercolored the clouds in the background. Dry embossed a vellum banner with more clouds. You can never have enough clouds ;-).  I decided to use two bunnies that I stamped on patterned paper and placed them in vellum grass.  Finally, I added some eggs in the grass to finish it off.

Fly High

Happy Hump Day folks. Today, I bring you a quick and easy way to make a Pocket Scrapbooking card.  This card is also perfect to place on a greeting card or a layout. 

 I used the Fly High Stamp set from My Style Stamps and watercolored the butterflies on watercolor paper cut out with the Lawn Fawn die.  

Quick Tip:  Emboss the butterflies so when you color them the watercolor stays in the lines.

I hope you have all recovered from last nights Super Bowl Shenanigans!!! Truthfully, I didn't watch it.  I did record it so we can watch the commercials at a later date.

I decided to decorate a pillow box and a lollipop.  If you are adventurous you can create the pillow box from scratch or use a cutting machine.  Lucky, I had this one on hand from last years Target Dollar Spot.
