The Creative Blog Hop

Hey my lovelies!!!  I was chosen by my bestie Samantha Mann to participate in the Creative Blog Hop. You can see her response to this hop here.   This is designed to get to know me better and introduce you to a few other great creative people!  

1.      What am I working on now?

Currently working on Design Team Projects and I really need to start my bucket list book.  I decide to start crossing things off of my bucket list early in life. Therefore I will document them in their very own book! 

2.      How does my work differ from others in my genre?

My work is my own, I rarely look at a sketch unless it's for a challenge.  I do follow the trends, sometimes a little late. I do like to research techniques before I try them.

3.      Why do I create what I do?

I create because I love it!  I have always been crafty since I was little. Whether it was coloring, drawing or making necklaces.  I enjoy it and always will. 

4.      How does my creative process work?

I am usually inspired by a product. Either it's colors, the images, design....  I then go around my craft stash and see what else would work with the item...and go from there....sometimes one card could take me 3 hours....YES...3 hours...I am in no hurry to get it done...but I want it to be right.

Thickers Anyone?

I can not tell you how much I LOVE TJ Maxx! Just in case you don't know, but they have THICKERS! *Squeal*  Yep and at a fraction of the price $1.49 each!  Run out to your TJ Maxx, Homegoods, or Ross. Some stores have them, some don't. It's a shot in the dark to find them!

Community Crop & Craft 2013

Hey all!

This is just a little bit of info on my friends crop in my area (Central Florida). Just in case any of my followers live in the Central Florida area please check this out! It was a blast last year! Lots of room to crop, plugs for machines/lighting, snacks, friends, laughs! I hope you check it out and pass it along to anyone you know in the Central Florida area!

Store Report: Scrappies

 Store Report and Haul!

I am a bit late on posting this, but it doesn't really matter. I went a few weeks ago to a store in Palatka, FL called Scrappies. WOW! It's a big store packed to the ceiling (literally) with stuff! Casey the owner was really nice and let us run wild throughout the store. :-) She carries a lot of the latest brands! There is a whole section dedicated to Project Life, she also has classes on how to start a Project Life scrapbook. She has two crop rooms, classes, retreats and more!

I would say if you are visitng Florida and staying or living near Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Deland then it is totally worth the trip to get there! If you are farther away it is still worth the trip, just a longer drive.... :-) It was an hour and a half drive from South East Volusia County on scenic back roads.

Store Report! Stamp and Deliver, S. Daytona, FL

I figured I would share my findings in the stores I find when I travel! Does that make sense? hahaha! Well this store is somewhat local for me, it took us (Rebecca and I) about 50mins going the back way the day before the Daytona 500 race. Yes, we were probably crazy, but we survived and hit NO traffic.

Stamp and Deliver is a small store filled to the ceiling with awesome scrap goodies! I took some photos to share with you all, so the next time you visit Daytona Beach, check it out!

Cherry Blossom Studio has a HUGE crop area. You can see it in the photos, with a flat screen TV! They carry all big name brands, Copic, Little Yellow Bicycle, Reminisce, Basic Grey, etc.....

Of course, I walked out with a bag full of goodies! And some for my bestie Sam over at Sam's Scrap Candy! :-)

More Stuff from the 12 hour Crop

Wow!! Such a great weekend!!! Sorry, about the lack of posts after a while on Sunday. Sam and I just got down to business! We were doing make in takes, and learning new techniques and meeting new friends! Plus, there was no wifi, so the uploading via my phone was draining my battery :-( But, here is some more stuff we made, got and learned!

Here is the goody bag I picked out! They were all different! I liked the birdies and all the glittery chipboard!
