Newtons Nook Designs - Seas the Day!

Happy Thursday! Today, I am here with a fun summer card for you.  I used Tranquil Tides set from Newtons Nook Designs. There is also a matching Perfect Die Set too!  This card is pretty simple and really quick to whip up in a hurry.

I used Dye based ink for a crisp clean stamped image. WARNING! Dye based inks will stain your clear stamps. IT doesn't hurt them, but the will discolor.

I toped the card off with some ribbon from my stash and some enamel dots. I haven't used ribbon in forever.
I hope you enjoyed my card.

Newton's Nook Designs August Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs August Release! Today, we are featuring "Tranquil Tides".  This is a fun bold stamp set, just waiting to be inked up!

I decided to go with a shaker card for this set. I stamped with Delicata Gold Ink and covered in clear embossing powder and heat set.  Then, I lightly spritz some Distress Spray down on a kraft sheet and then dabbed my background on it and did this over and over until I achieved the perfect look.  Since, the gold stamped images are embossed they resist the ink. I added my sentiment when the background was completely dry.  Here comes the fun part, gather up all your favorite sequins, I chose blues and aquas to match.  then seal the card up with acetate and foam tape.  I added two more embossed stamped images to the outside for a dimensional look.

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release - Day 4 - SEA-son's Greetings

Hello Everyone! Today, we are showcasing SEA-son's Greetings from Newton's Nook Designs.  This set it awesome for us here in Florida.  We always have a underwater, beach-y kind of Holiday!

With this card I decided I want to make the crab look like he's floating in the sea.  So a shaker card was created!  I used distress inks and sprinkled some water on the background to create a water effect.  I added sequins to simulate bubbles, clever don't cha think?  I popped it all up on foam dots and shake away!

And for a bonus card here is a cute little whale (wearing a santa hat)  with snow falling swimming through the ocean.
