Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs May Release!  Today, we are turning up the BEET with Vegetable Medley!  This is a fun healthy set! lol  I decided to use some music note paper in the background to emphasize the beet's jamming out!  I tinted my embossing paste with distress ink.

Quick Tip:  You can tint your embossing paste, with Re-inkers, acrylic paint, or any ink pad.  Just *smoosh* your ink pad on a slick surface, then apply a dab of your embossing paste and mix well. Add more color to achieve the look you want.

Newton's Nook Designs May Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day One of the May Release for Newton's Nook Designs!!!  Today, we are featuring Newton's Sick Day.  This is the cutest set EVER for someone who is under the weather.

I used the Baxter Line from Studio Calicos Seven Paper Line. Which is perfect for all your cat and Dog lovers. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and some white spray sprinkles and fussed with making a tiny bow for about 10 minutes. lol

Happy National Scrapbook Day 2015!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!! Did you know over at Butterfly Reflections Ink there is a Mood Board Challenge?  Yup, just for NSD 2015.  All types of paper crafting is allowed.

Thus, I made this fun card using the Pink Paislee - Citrus Bliss Paper Pad.  The whole collection matches perfectly with the mood board for this month.

I used several different mists and some distress ink to create the background. Then, I topped off the entire card with a die cut from Lawn Fawn

I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to play along with us!! Please, link up on the blog

Newton's Nook Designs - May Flowers Blog Hop

Welcome, to the May Flowers Blog Hop for Newton's Nook Designs!  I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen so far along the hop.  The Design Team has really out done themselves.  For my 3D Box Card I used the flowers from the Versatile Vases Stamp Set.  I fussy cut  a bunch of flowers so you can give your friend a bouquet that will last forever!  I am not a fan of live flowers, because they just die in a week or so.  I appreciate a plant that I can put in my backyard and it watch it grow for years (as long as I don't kill it first).
