Newtons Nook Designs - Inky Paws Challenge #32

It's time for a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!  I hope you join us.

For this card I distress inked the background and stamped in Archival Ink. To create the speckles in the background I splattered water and shimmer water and let dry.

Newtons Nook Designs May Release - Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of Newtons Nook Designs May Release! You made it!!!!  I hope you have been hopping with us all week of this HUGE release! Today, we are show casing "A Cozy Day" stamp set. Isn't she adorable? 

I created a card for this set. I paired it with a huge cloud die cut. Cause when I get lost in a book, I feel like I am day dreaming to another time and place.   The cloud is watercolored and splattered with sprays.  I colored the image up and had the hardest time deciding on how to color up the cute kitties. Am I the only one who has that problem? lol 

I popped up the image and added some hearts directly to the card base. Topped it off with some enamel dots. There is so much happening with this card I kept it sorta simple.

Newtons Nook Designs May Release - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Newtons Nook Designs May Release!  Today, we are show casing "Newtons Book Club".  This set is adorable and great for any book lover.  

I created a card for this release. I started with a splash of blue spray. It's always a game to see if the spray nozzle is going to cooperate or not.  This time it did, thankfully.  I colored up Newton and his book with some Spectrum Noir markers. I took some Viva Inka Gold with a finger (best tool ever!) and swiped across my card for Newton to have some grounding. I decided that wasn't enough and added some thin arrow washi tape.  To finish it off with a sentiment and some enamel dots. BOOM!  Done!

Newtons Nook Designs May Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newtons Nook Designs May Release!  I have to admit, this has to be one of my favorite releases of this week! EAK!  Today, we are show casing "Adventure Awaits" along with coordinating Die Sets, "Points and Plumes" and " Splendid Stags". 

I created a layout for this set, because it fit perfectly with my CHA trip from January.  This is a photo of Samantha Mann and I. It was the greatest girls trip EVER!  I used the stamp set and die cuts mainly for my background.  There are two feather die cuts to help frame the photograph.   I love that these are good for Cardmarkers, Scrapbooking, Pocket Pages and more!  Very Versatile.

Newtons Nook Designs May Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day one of the Newtons Nook Designs May Release! This weeks releases are amazing and I hope you come back each day this week to see a new stamp set.  Today, we are show casing "Happy Little Thoughts" and the coordinating Die Set. 

I was inspired by the sentiments a decided to make a book mark. First, I watercolored my background , you can use any of your favorite watercoloring mediums. I allowed it to air dry for best results. Then, I coated the book mark with an anti static powder to make sure no embossing powder when stray. It also tells me if the watercoloring was completely dry.  I stamped my images with versa mark ink and coated with Gold Embossing Powder.

  

For some pizzaz, I edged the bookmark with a boarder punch from my stash. (remember those things?).  To finish, it off I added some white ric rac.  I hope you enjoyed my project.

Newtons Nook Designs - May Flowers Blog Hop

I used the "Hello Spring" stamp set for this card. 

I used some Hero Arts Neon Ombre Ink to stamp the flowers on the background.  Used a small strip of washi tape for the polka dot boarder. Colored up the cute little Lily Bunny holding her sunflower. To finish the card off I added some hear enamel dots from my stash.  Hope you enjoyed my card.

Just Bee Cuz

Happy Thursday!  Today, I am hear with a cute card featuring Winston from Newtons Nook Designs. Sometimes you just need a card to give someone for know reason. Mainly to just make them smile.  So, I created this card with lots of dimension and played off the bee theme.

 I used Winston's Honey Bees a newly released set.
