Here is my entry for the Sweet Stamp Shop Challenge. Black, White and One Color! Do you know how difficult this is to do. I actually tore off the scooter cause it was on multi colored patterned paper and looked adorable. I had to go back and read the challenge again ONE color argh!!!! But, it looked soo cute! So I found a different patterned paper that was one color. I will be sending this to a friend of mine who moved South and we don't get to se her all the time.

Lawnscaping Challenge #44
Try a new technique is challenge #44 over at Lawnscaping. This challenge was a doosey! I really stepped out of my box for this one. First, off I made a layout, I haven't done that in a while. :-) I really wanted to use my first Studio Calico kit, which is the October kit with an add on. So, I tried to use mostly my kit with Lawn Fawn stamps. I ended up using washi tape that wasn't in the kit and thickers. My first technique was heat embossing directly on my background paper. Let me tell you, it was sooo scary. I've heat embossed before, but on another sheet of paper that if I mess up its no big deal. This time, I didn't have a back up plan. Luckily, it came out fine, only cause I was FaceTiming/Skype with my BF Sam and she reminded me to use my embossing buddy. Which I always forget to use before I heat emboss. An embossing buddy, dryer sheet or the EK Success powder tool keeps stray embossing powder from sticking where it shouldn't. Giving you a clean image. My second technique is dry embossing a cut out. I stamped and cut some Lawn Fawn clouds then dry embossed them in my Cuttlebug. Normally, I emboss entire backgrounds, never pieces. My third technique, is a layered layout, not my normal style. I usually mat my photos and have a boarder, just a simple style. I hope you enjoy my layout I was definitely in uncharted waters!
