Newtons Nook Designs Feb Release - Day 2

Hey there! Welcome to Day 2 of the February Release for Newtons Nook Designs. I hope you had fun yesterday.  Today, we are featuring ?Newton Unwinds" and coordinating Purr-fect Dies.  First off, I love the size of these stamps. They are a little bit bigger than Newton's of the past.

I kept it a bit simple for this card. I colored Newton and the yarn ball with my copics. I then die cut him out and the heart shape on the sentiment with the coordinating Purr-fect Dies.  There is bit of gold shimmer in the background there. I used Viva Inka Gold and smeared it with my finger ( a great inexpensive crafting tool!).

Then, I die cut the small doilly from a spellbinders die, to give Newtons some pop!  I then topped everything off with sequins and pink and black gems.

Journey's into Fiber Art

Hi all! I was at our local Thursday night craft group and a lady brought in a necklace made of Trellis Yarn or Ladder Yarn. She said it looked so easy she bought one and was going to figure out how to make it. Well I found the yarn and found a tutorial and it's super easy!!! This was my first time crochet-ing. Check out my results! This would also look great on a layout page!!!
