Newtons Nook Designs May Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day one of the Newtons Nook Designs May Release! This weeks releases are amazing and I hope you come back each day this week to see a new stamp set.  Today, we are show casing "Happy Little Thoughts" and the coordinating Die Set. 

I was inspired by the sentiments a decided to make a book mark. First, I watercolored my background , you can use any of your favorite watercoloring mediums. I allowed it to air dry for best results. Then, I coated the book mark with an anti static powder to make sure no embossing powder when stray. It also tells me if the watercoloring was completely dry.  I stamped my images with versa mark ink and coated with Gold Embossing Powder.

  

For some pizzaz, I edged the bookmark with a boarder punch from my stash. (remember those things?).  To finish, it off I added some white ric rac.  I hope you enjoyed my project.

Newtons Nook Designs - May Flowers Blog Hop

I used the "Hello Spring" stamp set for this card. 

I used some Hero Arts Neon Ombre Ink to stamp the flowers on the background.  Used a small strip of washi tape for the polka dot boarder. Colored up the cute little Lily Bunny holding her sunflower. To finish the card off I added some hear enamel dots from my stash.  Hope you enjoyed my card.

MFT Sketch Challenge #275

Happy Monday!!!  I had a bit of scrappy time to myself this weekend and was able to play along in a few challenges!!!!  I finally, got out my MFT Stamps! 

I used Polynesian Paradise, since summer is practically here. In Florida, it's always summer, right ?Here is the sketch I had to follow below. 

I used the Stitched Circle Stax Dienamics,  Blueprints  20 set for the banner. I masked the flowers around the pineapple, and colored just bits and pieces for a soft look.
